Lifting chains are high-strength welded alloy steel chains designed for lifting, rigging, chain sling assemblies and material handling applications. Compared with general-purpose chains, lifting chains are manufactured and heat treated to provide higher strength, toughness and consistent load performance.
SENOTECH supplies Grade 80 (G80) and Grade 100 (G100) lifting chains in a wide range of link sizes and load capacities. Different surface finishes, markings and packaging options are available according to customer and project requirements.
Grades and Construction
Grade 80 and Grade 100 lifting chains are commonly manufactured from heat-treated alloy steel with welded short-link construction.
G80 lifting chain is widely used in conventional chain sling and lifting assemblies, while G100 lifting chain provides higher strength for applications requiring increased load capacity with comparable chain dimensions.
Chain size, grade and working load limit should always be selected according to the complete lifting assembly and actual operating conditions.
Materials and Surface Finish
Lifting chains are typically manufactured from high-strength alloy steel and undergo controlled heat treatment to achieve the required mechanical properties.
Available surface finishes may include painted, powder coated, blackened, zinc coated or other customized treatments. Different identification colors and markings can also be supplied according to customer requirements.
Applications
Lifting chains are widely used in chain sling assemblies, cranes and hoisting systems, construction equipment, ports and shipyards, material handling, mining, heavy machinery, transport and general industrial lifting applications.
They can be used together with master links, connecting links, eye hooks, clevis hooks, grab hooks and other lifting accessories to form complete chain sling assemblies.
