Wedge Anchors for Heavy-Duty Concrete Connections
Wedge anchors are mechanical expansion anchors used to secure structural components, brackets and equipment to solid concrete. The anchor is installed through the fixture into a correctly prepared hole; tightening the nut pulls the tapered section into the expansion clip to develop contact with the concrete.
Key Features
• Stud-style through-fixing for solid concrete
• Pre-assembled nut, washer and expansion clip
• Carbon steel and stainless steel options available
• Zinc-plated, hot-dip galvanized and customized finishes available
• Dimensions, markings and packaging can be supplied to order
Material and Finish
Material, strength grade and surface protection should be selected for the project load and exposure environment. Final thread, dimensions, nut, washer and finish requirements must be confirmed before quotation and production.
Applications
Typical uses include steel structures, machinery bases, brackets, handrails, racking and other concrete fastening applications approved by the project design.
Selection and Quotation
Provide anchor diameter and length, material and grade, finish, fixture thickness, embedment, concrete strength, hole diameter and depth, spacing, edge distance, quantity, packaging and applicable approval requirements. Performance depends on the complete anchor configuration, concrete condition and correct installation; follow the approved drilling, cleaning and tightening procedure.
